Locking doors!!!! So, if you’re ever at my house look out, you may just get locked out!!

I can get a good pic of my kids together. I too pictures the other day to try to make a Christmas card. I dressed them in their Christmas outfits, set up a backdrop, and called them in. Well, it was all down hill from there. I then moved them in front of the tree, still nothing if not worse. I ended up getting frustrated and giving up. A while later while Wy was in nothing but a diaper, I put his tie on him loosely and got two pics, one of which was the best for the day. Out of 22 pics I got 3 that were OK. So, I used them to make this card. They could be worse I guess.

I am addicted, only slightly, to a little game called Skip-Bo. My friend Candy and I can sit and play it for hours at a time. Our husbands think we are crazy, and don’ t really get the fun behind it that we do.

It all started back in April when Candy helped me convince my man that we should move to Ohio. We moved into her house with her and her husband and their 3 children. Now that make 4 adults and 5 children under one roof. It started out simply enough, we would get all the kids in bed and then the adults would stay up and play a game or two of something like UNO or Apples to Apples, mainly UNO. One day while shopping, one of us decided to bring home Skip-Bo for something new, and it was all downhill from there.

Now that we live in seperate houses, we only get to play once a week or so. Our games take anywhere from 20min-45min to play. One day recently I was at her house and we were playing a game. We had Dr. Phil on the T.V. when all of a sudden we both were glued to the television. There was this mesmerizing song playing and we just could not break away, not even for Skip-Bo. So, get ready to click the link and prepare to not move for at least 2min and 55sec. LOL

Mom Song

Tomorrow  is Skip-Bo day!!! I suggest if you haven’t played this game yet, find a good friend and play today! If you don’t get the fun out of it that we do let me know, I’ll try to point you in the right direction. ;)

If you had told me the things that I would be excited about as a mom 10 years ago, I would have thought you were crazy. But let me just warn you moms to be out there, you will be very excited about strange things as your child grows. Let me tell you our most recent joy.

Yesterday Wy came home from school, where he stays dry the whole time, and successfully peed in the potty 2 times. We put on his “big boy” pants (underwear), and he stayed dry in those. Here is the kicker though! He POOPED in the potty!!!!!!!!!!! We  could not have made a bigger deal out of it. We called anyone we could think of so that he could tell them he pooped in the potty, and I even wrote a not to his teacher. LEt me tell you how thrilled she must be to open the notebook today and be hit with a letter about poop, but oh well lol.

So not only do you get excited about first smiles, and steps, you also get ecstatic about the first poop. So, moms-to-be, don’t say you weren’t forwarned.

I have tried to tell my kids that we aren’t allowed to get up in the morning before the sun, but it just insn’t working. They insist on waking each other and me up at the butt crack of dawn. It would be ok if I had just a quarter of the energy that they do at that hour, or if they would let me rest on the couch. Oh no, they insist on having breakfast and their cups at that ungodly hour! Coffee has become my best friend, and that is sad.
